My father was a doctor, providing health care to underserved populations in Africa and Southeast Asia; he was my main inspiration in becoming a doctor. I chose my specialty because of the joy a new life brings to a family. Approximately half my practice involves the delivery of babies. It is very gratifying to deliver a baby into the arms of parents, even under very difficult circumstances.
Over the years, I have become a part of many families, providing medical care to patients and their mothers, sisters and daughters.
Delivering babies has been my life’s work. I delight in working with women and families, whether it is a traditional, straightforward case or a complex one. Much of my work is about solving problems, primarily with menopause, pain, and other chronic conditions. I enjoy treating women through all the various stages of life.

As an OB/GYN, I believe prevention and continuity of care are extremely important; I love being able to provide health care for my patients for years or decades! While welcoming babies into the world is truly gratifying, I love all the variety there is in caring for my patients every day, including well-woman care, infertility, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries. I approach each patient with genuine care and concern.
